longínqua a tua presença no coração
das coisas que entristeceram.

te trará no dorso, cansado de
tantas esperas, tantos muros.
Aguardo-te como sempre
recebi as tuas palavras raras
como concha, como cofre.
Nas águas ou nos ventos em desalinho
o pó em que nos tornaram terá mãos,
e os nossos corpos por fim vão descansar...

În numele absenţei tale.
prin memoria zilelor lungi,
prin albastrul privirii tale,
mă trezesc în fiecare dimineaţă
cu voinţa din zorii unei zile.
Oricât de uşori ţi-ar fi paşii, eu aud
de departe prezenţa ta în inima
lucrurilor care întristează.
Ştiu că într-o zi o pasăre mare
te va aduce în spate, ostenit de
atâtea aşteptări, atâtea ziduri.
Te-am aşteptat ca întotdeauna
am primit vorbele tale rare
ca o carapace, ca un cufăr.
Pe ape sau pe vânturi în vâltoare
praful pe care-l vom lua va avea mâini,
iar trupurile noastre se vor odihni în sfârşit...

so many expectations, so many walls.

I received your rare words
like a shell, like a trunk.
On waters or turbulent winds

Nasceu em 1961 em Sines. Trabalhou como psicóloga clínica, durante 24 anos, na reabilitação sócio-profissional de jovens e adultos. Livros publicados: “Fusão Crepuscular e outros Poemas” (1979), "Parto com os Ventos" (2013), “Evocação das Águas” (2015).
Com uma sensibilidade dominada por nostalgias, aspirações e angústia existencial que imprime em suas letras um tom elegíaco característico, Lilia Tavares é uma poeta genuína, com uma visão do mundo que resulta naturalmente da sua associação com o espaço cultural e espiritual de antiga e nobre tradição de seu país.
Born 1961 in Sines. She worked during 24 years as a clinical psychologist in social and professional rehabilitation of young and adult people. She has been writing poetry since the age of thirteen. Published books: "Twilight Fusion and Other Poems" (1979), "I'm going with the wind" (2013), "An Evocation of the Waters" (2015).
Having a personal sensitivity dominated by nostalgia, aspirations and existential angst that put in her lyrics a distinctive tone of lament, Lilia Tavares is a genuine poet with a vision determinated by her appurtenance to the cultural and spiritual space of an ancient and noble tradition of her country.
Născută în 1961 la Sines. A lucrat ca psiholog clinician timp de 24 de ani în reabilitarea socială și profesională a tinerilor şi adulţilor. Scrie poezie de la vârsta de treisprezece ani. Cărţi publicate: "Fuziune crepusculară și alte poeme" (1979), "Plec odată cu vânturile" (2013), "O evocare a apelor" (2015).
Cu o sensibilitate dominată de nostalgii, aspiraţii şi nelinişti existenţiale, care imprimă versurilor sale un ton elegiac caracteristic, Lilia Tavares este o poetă autentică, cu o viziune a lumii rezultată în mod natural din apartenenţa ei la spaţiul cultural şi spiritual de veche şi nobilă tradiţie al ţării sale.
